Love to Live video competition


To celebrate the launch of an exciting online local TV channel, we are asking you to create a 90 second video that tells us why you Love to Live in Cheshire West.

There are four categories that you can enter your films into:

The best entry in each category will win a fantastic prize bundle -

A Kodak Zx1 high definition pocket video camera -

in black, plus a 16 GB digital memory card and card reader for your computer.

The second and third prizes in each category are £30 and £20 gift vouchers respectively, for a camera shop in your area.

Terms and Conditions
Please tick below to confirm that you agree to and comply with the set terms and conditions.
  • Entry to the competition is free and there are no limits to the number of entries per person
  • It is the responsibility of the entrant that:
    • The video does not infringe the copyright of any third party
    • Permission has been obtained from the subject(s) of the video
    • They own the copyright for the video and any element of it including soundtrack
  • The closing date for the competition is 5pm on 12 November 2010. Winners will be notified within 14 days of the closing date by email or post
  • No cash or other alternative or substitute prizes are available
  • Entries may be submitted by upload (www.cheshirewest.tv/competition), email (ecommunications@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk) or post (Video Competition, Cheshire West and Chester Council, HQ Building, 58 Nicholas Street, Chester, CH1 2NP)
  • By entering the competition, you grant Cheshire West and Chester Council worldwide royalty free non-exclusive rights to feature any or all of the submitted video in any and all media
  • Employees of Cheshire West and Chester Council may not enter the competition
  • The adjudicator reserves the right not to accept any entries that:
    • Contain any material which is defamatory of any person
    • Contain any material which is obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory
    • Contains overt advertising or trademark
    • Promote sexually explicit material
    • Promote violence
    • Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age
    • Infringe any copyright (including audio), database right or trade mark of any other person
    • Be likely to deceive any person
    • Be made in breach of any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence
    • Promote any illegal activity
    • Be threatening, abuse or invade another's privacy, or cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety
    • Be likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person
    • Be used to impersonate any person, or to misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person
    • Give the impression that they emanate from us, if this is not the case
    • Advocate, promote or assist any unlawful act such as (by way of example only) copyright infringement or computer misuse
  • Children and Consent - Where a child or young person is included in any video activity, consent must be obtained from parents or legal guardians, or other persons of eighteen or over in loco parentis and that they understand the nature of the footage and are able to give informed consent.
  • The winners will be selected by an adjudicator.
  • No correspondence will be entered into and the adjudicators' decision is final and binding in connection to all disputes related to this promotion
